WordRite Solutions is the culmination of years of experience, a strong personal desire to succeed, and professional growth in the art of writing and the skills of analytical thinking.

In 2007, after riding the mommy train for 10 years and with 3 children in tow, I found myself needing to re-enter the workforce. Fast!

Looking at my resume, I knew that my prior life working in the banking industry and then technical support in insurance software had grown too stale and that experiences gained through real life are not ordinarily valued or appreciated in the work world. But, other than my recent experience as a volunteer editor for a niche English-speaking magazine in The Hague NL, I had nothing else to offer.

I had to pivot. I had to re-fashion myself. I had to build my skills for this new challenge.

I decided to combine my previous experience in writing technical support documents and my general love for writing into getting a Certificate in Technical Writing from my alma mater.

Shortly after finishing that certificate, I landed several short-term contracts with different companies in a variety of industries to build and maintain a range of documentation. I found I had a particular knack for quickly learning the material and the audience, organizing and “chunking” the information, and creating comprehensive and usable documentation.

The next milestone came in 2014 when I landed a job as a business analyst back in the world of worker’s compensation insurance. In this role, I was able to apply my skills as a quick learner and organized thinker to providing analysis for building software applications, grasping and understanding the vision of the department director to turn the business needs into usable software features.

I fell in love! Since then, I have earned my CBAP, CSSYB, and CSPO and have branched into project management and, recently, into program management. I still feel exhilarated at the idea of building new stuff and starting the next new project and I get excited about rolling up my sleeves and digging down into the weeds.
